..see grey seals and rare seabirds in habitats only visible from the sea.

Our adventurous wildlife cruises leave Dartmouth Harbour and take you out to sea. Steering east to Berry head as far as North Rocks, we stop for a while at the Mew Stone to observe grey seals in their breeding habitat. Seals are a common feature on our trips, as are nesting seabirds and sightings of both rare and common bird species such as gannets, cormorants, and peregrine falcons.

"We had a lovely day out and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. What value for money!."

- Wendy and Peter Mc Hugh; Stover, Devon

When it comes to watching wildlife there is obviously no guarantee as to what we'll see, but as well as the regular sightings of grey seals and a wide variety of sea birds we have on occasions encountered dolphins, basking-sharks and sunfish, and on one occasion, rare leatherback turtles.

We are lucky to have commentary provided on these trips by Stephen Westcott, a BBC naturalist who is also the West Country’s leading grey seal expert.

Snacks, tea and coffee, and a licensed bar are available on all of these journeys. A covered and comfortable seating area and toilet facilities are available.

"There is no doubt amongst delegates that the opportunity to see seals in their natural environment set the two-day conference off to be an event that many will remember for years to come."

...dramatic coastal views of land and sea

From Dartmouth Harbour, we steer west along the coast to follow the sweep and rise of unspoiled Devon shoreline and landscape beyond. Passing steep cliffs, rugged rocks, famous landmarks and secluded bays, we journey as far south as Blackpool Sands and Slapton, and on to Torcross when weather is favourable. Usually aboard our well-appointed vessel the ‘Dart Venturer’, a commentary of local history and geography is included in this coastline tour.

Snacks, tea and coffee, and a licensed bar are available on all of these journeys. A covered and comfortable seating area and toilet facilities are available.
